Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling

Summary:
When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first-ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...
Favourite Character: Remus Lupin
Lupin is the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and he is very competent and likeable. He teaches Harry how to defend himself against Dementors, but he is forced to leave Hogwarts at the end of the year because he is a werewolf. He is one of the creators of Marauder's Map.
Rating 9 out of 10:
Probably the best book in the series, this book starts the shift towards darker themes in the series and tackles many problems that Harry is experiencing. Overall it is a great read.
