Since this is the first of many weekly writing prompt posts, I wanted to start off by explaining why I am doing with this type of post. As writers, we seem to also get stuck when we don't want to get stuck. Writer's block can be a bitch to get through, so I am posting these prompts to sort of get rid of the writer's block a little bit by giving you ideas as what to write about. These prompts are to keep you writing and to keep the ideas flowing. Hopefully they are as helpful to you as they are to me.

Weekly Prompts:
You wake up in a jail cell, crusted blood covering your hands. You have no idea how you got there. The cell door clangs open, and an officer walks you to interrogation room where two detectives wait to question you. Write about how the interrogation and how you ended up there?
You wake up one morning to a knock on your door you open it to find you favorite fictional character standing there with a novel in their hands. They quickly say that you are their favorite book character and they know how your story ends. They are there to change it. Write about this interaction and how you would respond to this.
Write a poem about a random object in your room.
Writer a journal entry but from the point of view of a serial killer.
Writer a letter to your future self.
If you have any suggestions for future writing prompts feel free to leave a comment and your idea will probably end up as a future writing prompt on this blog.
