Time to dust off those old notebooks and grab a pencil for this week's writing prompts. This week we dive into thinking writing horror writing prompts. Some of us are probably already well-established writers, and others are just starting this amazing journey. No matter what your case is, we are here to help you along the way. So sit back, grab your cup of coffee and start taking notes.

Here are 6 Horror Writing Prompts:

  1. Your Character wakes up in a dark forest, remembering nothing but a single name.

  2. Your character visits a lawyer saying that their great-uncle has passed away and left their mansion to them. Upon arriving at the mansion, your character starts to notice strange occurrences around the home, and then when cleaning out the attic, they find a bloody hook.

  3. A game of truth or dare in a graveyard. However, every dare becomes more and more dangerous, and somehow the graveyard is changing the game's rules.

  4. Retell the story of Dracula with a more modern horror twist to it.

  5. Start your story off with the sentence, " All I was the blood dripping from her eyes."
