Time to dust off those old notebooks and grab a pencil for this week's writing prompts. So sit back, grab your cup of coffee and start taking notes. This week's prompts are hurt me dialogue prompts.

There will always be that one sentence that can break any reader's heart, especially when it is the dialogue between two characters. From heartfelt confession as their soulmate lays dying to the most epic heartbreaking moment as a character finds out the villain was their parent. We have either written, read or watched these hurt me dialogues in our lifetimes, perhaps even experienced them. So this week, we challenge you to use some of our suggestions or even make your own hurt me to dialogue in your writing. We found this hurt me dialogues for this post on Pinterest from a lovely pin by Alate.

Here are ten hurt me dialogue starters:

  1. " I got you. It's gonna be okay; you're going to be okay."

  2. " I feel like everyone's miles away from me."

  3. " My mind is a dark place. you don't want to be there."

  4. " I know this hurts, but you have to stay awake."

  5. " Don't close your eyes. Please don't close your eyes!"
