Time to dust off those old notebooks and grab a pencil for this week's writing prompts. So sit back, grab your cup of coffee and start taking notes. This week's prompts are based on the fall season.

The weather is changing, and the leaves are starting to change colour. So it's time to grab your warm sweaters once again and a cup of coffee as we explore some fall-themed writing prompts. From writing about the season to exploring how your characters would react to this change in season, it's time to write all about autumn or fall.
Here are six amazing autumn writing prompts:
Make a list of 10 words that remind you of the fall. Then, pick one of the words and write a story about it.
Many people associate particular scents with autumn. Are there any smells that always make you think of the fall, such as apples, cinnamon, or pumpkin? Write about how a certain scent makes you feel.
Describe your favourite coffee shop without using any adjectives.
Go outside for 10 minutes and record everything you see. Then, go through your list and note which things you would only see during the fall and which things you could see year-round. Finally, write three paragraphs about one of the things you would only see in the fall.
A child asks you why the leaves change colours and fall. How do you explain to them in a way They'll understand.
Write a short story that starts out with you and a friend taking a walk in the woods on a crisp, autumn day. You can make the story a comedy, adventure, or mystery. What happens?
