This week our writing prompts explore gender, sexuality, and everything LGBTQA+. We are creating these prompts with respect to the LGBTQA+ Citizens of the world and our home country of Canada. These prompts get you as writers thinking about what it means to be an LGBTQA+ person living in 2021; it also helps you explore the depth and troubles that this community faces daily. Have fun with these prompts, and remember to be respectful and open-minded.

Create a non-binary, transgender or genderfluid character. Describe how they look, what pronouns they use and how they see themselves.
Write a coming-out story. Create an LGBTQA+ Character or use one you have already created. Explain how they discovered who they are, whom they love and how they came out to their friends and family
This prompt is a little different from what we usually put down in these newsletters, but we want you to explore a sexuality. Research as much as you can on this sexuality, then write a journal entry from a character identifying with this sexuality.
Draw someone holding a pride flag, and explain why they are holding this flag.
Create a pride parade float, then create a list of everything you need to create this float.
